This package is designed especially for visiting families who want to document their NYC experience in a beautiful, authentic way — perfect for albums, holiday cards, or a once-in-a-lifetime memory.

FAQ

How do we book our session?

If you like what you see, reach out and say hello!  Once I know your availability, we’ll figure out a day and time that works for you and your family. A $400 non-refundable deposit and signed contract are required to hold any date. The balance is due the day of our session.

Session pricing and how it works:

I don’t believe in holding images hostage for additional fees. Family session rates are inclusive. Your final image gallery will include a minimum of 50 retouched photos with personal usage and printing rights. Commercial, event, and editorial rates are separate.

Do you travel outside of NYC for sessions?

Occasionally. If you're interested in booking your session outside of NYC, please note the location in your initial inquiry. There is a travel charge of $300 for sessions outside of NYC which applies to areas in New Jersey, Long Island, Queens (excluding LIC), The Bronx, Washington Heights, and Westchester County.

What if we need to reschedule due to personal reasons or rain?

Not a problem! We'll figure out a date and time that works for us both. I welcome my families to reschedule their sessions Monday-Friday with no added fee. There is a $200 rebooking fee for sessions that are rescheduled within less than a 24-hour notice and a non-refundable deposit that applies to canceled sessions.

What if we need to reschedule our session on-site due to our little one having a hard day?

If your kiddo is having a tough time 30mins into our session, we’ll pause and touch base. Together we’ll decide if we should continue or reschedule a redo session for a later date. There is a $200 rescheduling fee for on-site rescheduling. Makeup sessions are only offered Monday-Friday.

Is there anything we can do to prep our toddler for our photoshoot together?

The key to a fun  session is to set your children up for success! Be sure to they have  the necessities: food and sleep! 

Do you offer Mini Sessions?

I do not offer mini sessions. I've found that mini-sessions are often too stressful for families with little ones under the age of five. The idea of a shorter discounted session is great in theory, but not so awesome if your toddler is having a hard day or needs additional time warming up to the camera. The family sessions I offer are 90mins. This amount of time will allow your family to take as many breaks as needed throughout your session without the added pressure of time.

What’s your favorite time of day to shoot?

New York City is at its best early morning, and so is your toddler!

I encourage my families to schedule their outdoor sessions when the light is soft and glowy. Mornings from 7:00-8:30 am are best to avoid heavy city foot traffic or late afternoon 5:30-7:00 pm to enjoy the magic hour glow. If we’re planning an indoor session, we’ll figure out the time of day you receive the best natural light within your home.

DUMBO and Central Park weekend sessions are only offered between 7:00-9:00 am.

How long until I see my images?

Full image galleries are delivered within 3 weeks from your session date. This turn around time also applies to holiday sessions.

What should we wear?

I typically suggest cool and airy earth tones during the Spring and Summer and warmer earth tones during the winter months. But honestly, wear whatever you and your family feel beautiful and comfortable in. Batman capes, princess crowns, and dinosaur tees are all acceptable and encouraged.

Can we include our dog/cat in our session? 

Yes, fur babies are always welcome.

Where do you like to shoot your sessions?

I like photographing my families in locations that are meaningful to them. We usually begin our session at home and then walk to a nearby park or playground. If you’re interested in scheduling your session in one specific location but are unsure where, email me! I know all the good spots!
